Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy applies to

the "Textkraft", "Wise Guy", "Word-2-Text" and "More words" app products of the company infovole GmbH, also called "application" in the following

And on the websites and web services, which are operated under the domain "infovole.de" by the company infovole GmbH, also called "server" in the following.

We collect, store and use your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European Data Protection Act (GDPR). In this statement we would like to inform you about the types of data we process for which purposes and which rights you are entitled to.

Data collection and processing

In our servers, log file data is automatically collected and stored in an internal log file, which is transmitted to us via your application or your browser. These are the following data:

  • Type and version of the application / browser you are using,
  • type and version of the device and operating system you are using,
  • in the case of browser use: URL of the page, where you came to us and keywords, on which you found our site,
  • date and time of use,
  • the IP address used by you, which is anonymised after 7 days,
  • names of the pages and services you have requested.

We collect and process this data for the operation of the server software and for the prevention of attempts to attack our server (Article 6, paragraph 1f DSGVO). An evaluation is limited to internal, system-related and statistical purposes in anonymous form. They can not be assigned to a specific person.

Beyond this purely standard technical process, we do not collect and process any data. This includes the creation of usage profiles. Our applications and servers are free of "tracking mechanisms".

Data collection when using other third-party services

In our applications you have the possibility to dictate text. Dictation is a feature of Apple made available by the operating system of your device. In use, the speech is processed by a third party (e.g., Apple or vicarious agents) as the pesponsible controller and the result is delivered to our app. For details of the functionality and how to turn it on or off, please contact Apple.

In our applications you have the possibility to capture text with the camera of your device. This process is only processed locally in the application. No data is being transferred to servers.

In addition to the local storage of your device and the storage on private servers, our applications allow you to use cloud services and sharing functions of other companies. These include Dropbox, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Evernote, BOX or your telecommunication service provider. When using these services, your files will be processed by a third party (such as Apple or Dropbox) as the company in charge with whom you have previously entered into a license agreement. For details of this agreement, the functionality of the service, and how you may cancel its use, please contact the appropriate service provider.

In our applications, you have the ability to access third-party web services via an in-app browser. These include e.g. the Google search and the portals of the Wikimedia Foundation. The use of these services may collect information delivered to these third parties. We can not block, view or evaluate these data collection. The in-app browser of our applications is to be regarded as a standard web browser application with which all destinations can be reached. The in-app browser respects your system-wide privacy settings. Except for search phrases and URLs, our applications do not pass data to the in-app browser that can be accessed by third parties. When you open the in-app browser, you are leaving the legal jurisdiction of our applications.

Cookies

We do not use "cookies" for our applications.

Third-party web services that you visit in the in-app browser of our applications may store cookies. Through the browser settings of iOS you have the option to refuse cookies, to delete cookies from your device, to block cookies or to be asked before setting a cookie.

Sharing of data

Basically, we only pass on data to contractors in charge. These are companies that we commission with the processing of data in accordance with the statutory framework, see Article 28 DSVGO (service providers, vicarious agents). infovole GmbH remains responsible for the protection of your data. Possible areas in which we hire companies: IT, sales, marketing, finance, consulting, customer service, human resources, logistics and printing.

At the moment we do not commission any companies besides the hosting service provider who operates our servers.

In certain cases, we are required by law to provide certain data to a requesting government agency. This happens exclusively after presentation of a corresponding court order.

Use of your e-mail address

The email address you use in the App Store is unknown to us.
If you use the support form on our website or in our applications, we will store and use your e-mail address for communication purposes.

For the transmission of our newsletter or other offers that are of interest to you, we only use your e-mail address if you have given us your consent. You have the opportunity to revoke your consent at any time and stop receiving newsletters and e-mails from our company. For more information on the exercise of your right of objection, see the paragraph "Right of objection and cancellation".

Permissions

To be able to use our applications on your device, the app must be able to access various functions and data of your device if necessary. This requires that you grant certain authorizations (Article 6, paragraph 1a DSGVO).

The authorization categories are programmed differently by the manufacturers and are usually queried by Apple only when they are needed (e.g. use of Face ID or Touch ID as access protection for the app). Please note that in case of an objection you may not be able to use all functions of our apps. Insofar as you have granted authorizations, we use them only to the extent described in the permission request.

Statement of consent

If you have consented to the use of your e-mail address for the receipt of our newsletter and the sending of offers, you have given us the following consent. We have logged your statement of consent.

Consent to the use of my e-mail address: I would like to be regularly informed by infovole GmbH about offers and subscribe to the newsletter and consent to the use of my e-mail address. I can revoke my consent at any time, and regardless of this, terminate the subscription to newsletters and e-mail offers by logging out (activating the link at the end of each e-mail).

Right to information, correction, blocking and deletion of data

Upon request, we will provide you with information about the personal data stored about you at any time free of charge, about its origin, about the recipients and about the purpose and the planned duration of storage (Article 15 DSGVO). The information can be obtained under the contact details below.

If the legal prerequisites exist, you have the right to let us correct (Article 16 DSGVO), block or restrict (Article 18 DSGVO), transfer (Article 20 DSGVO) or delete (Article 17 DSGVO) the data. Please request this through the following contact details.

In addition, you have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority about data processing: Land Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia.

Right of objection and cancellation

You have the right to object to the use of your data (Article 21, paragraph 1 DSGVO) and revoke any consent granted to us (Article 7, paragraph 3 DSGVO). In this case, we will refrain from processing your data for these purposes. You can inform us of the objection or cancellation by mail or e-mail without giving a reason.

Location and protection of the data

Our servers are operated in a professional German data center, which has the highest standards for access/admission, transfer, input, order and separation control.

The measures include fire protection, high-availability systems, redundant power supply, firewalls, virus protection, backup procedures, logging, access and transport security.
